Established in 1993, Persson Motorsport from Saarbrücken Germany is a privateer team representing Mercedes, and is managed by Ingmar Persson. Persson Motorsport has been competing for many years in the DTM. During the FIA GT championship, the team have raced on behalf of Mercedes with the Mercedes CLK GTR.Many great names have raced for the Persson Motorsport Team, including Paul di Resta, Jamie Green, Gary Paffett, Bernd Mayländer, Jean-Marc Gougnon, Susie Stoddart, and the Dutch drivers Christijan Albers and Patrick Huisman. Since the year 2011, the name of Renger van der Zande can be added to this list.
