Renger returns to 'home' Grand Prix

Renger van der Zande is returning to Silverstone, just days after moving to the UK. Although a little early to claim home advantage, the Dutch driver is looking forward to racing on a track he knows well. But of course a whole new Arena complex means that even experienced Silverstone drivers have a whole new challenge to look forward to.

“I always like driving at Silverstone and have driven there in a number of different cars from British F3 to the Porsche Super Cup, where I had a guest drive at the British GP round last year.  I am excited about the new section of track – most drivers say it has a really good flow and I can’t wait to get out there and give it a go. It is also nice that I can stay at my flat in Oxford for this race – with no F1 in the Netherlands I will just have to claim this one as my home grand prix!” said the 24 year old.

Silverstone hosts the 4th round of the GP3 championship which will see 30 cars tearing up the Northamptonshire airfield, one of the most historic circuits in the world.  This time though the RSC Mucke Motorsport driver is looking for luck and a good points haul after a difficult start to the season.

“I am desperate to get some points on the board. We just need to get a clean qualifying and then I am pretty sure we can have a good race. But as you can see in GP3 you need to expect the unexpected!”
