Yesterday (Wednesday) was the last day to prepare the final things before we will run the first session on Thursday. So together with the mechanics we finalised the seat position and discussed plans about strategy for tyres and setup. Then it was time for some PR, and a bit more fun! The F3 drivers and I had to take on the other stars of Macau in some games at Fishersman`s Wharf near the track. It was F3 v WTCC v the Bikers! It was great fun but of course ,the WTCC drivers were cheating so badly that they won! Today we drove the first free practice and qualifying 1. Qualifying 1 is really more like a second free practice. Q2 is on Friday and the important one. Because it is a street track, it becomes quicker all the time and Q2 is the session to put it all together. Today, to be honest, was not great. The team and I have looked very carefully at the data to understand where the speed must be found. It was good though that I was quickest through sector 1 but in sector 2 we really have to improve, sector 3 looks not too bad. In Macau you run minimum wings/downforce and here we might have made a wrong decision. I too will push it all to the max tomorrow. It shows again how difficult the Macau Grand Prix is. Myself and the team will only be quick this weekend if we are getting the most out of all the factors and that includes the driver, team, and the car.
