There is no time for Renger to take a holiday. Last weekend, he had a lot of fun when he took part in the Benelux Racing League during the Rizla Racing Days in Assen, the Netherlands, and on Monday, he was back at his base in Milton Kynes. During the last two days, he has undergone intensive testing in a Formula 1 race simulator. Today, he is attending promising sponsor meetings in London with an eye on the next stage in his career and tomorrow, he will begin training at Silverstone.

“I have rarely had such a busy programme as I have this year. I think it is great taking part in the Euroseries, racing in England, guest races in the Porsche Supercup and the BRL and also a lot of testing and development work at a number of different circuits throughout Europe. Although I have not been able to take part in the entire series in England, I've still got a chance of winning the title. I am currently in third place in the championship, despite having driven for the benefit of my teammate Walter Grubmuller on a number of occasions. Over the coming three weekends, I will try to make up the difference with pure speed. You never know what might happen”, said an elated Renger van der Zande.
