TRUST TEAM ARDEN CONFIRMS A PLACE FOR RENGER IN THE DUBAI GP2 RACE

Trust Team Arden called this afternoon to confirm that Renger will, earlier than had originally been planned, be offered an opportunity to prove himself in the GP2 class. Renger will drive for Trust Team Arden at the prominent race in Dubai on 5-6 December 2008. Trust Team Arden has also taken an option on Renger’s services for the GP2 Main Series 2009. The result of Renger’s first GP2 race will be of decisive importance. In addition, Renger shall need to pull out all the stops during his last Formula 3 Euroseries race at Hockenheim in a week and a half’s time to ensure that he finishes in the top 3 of the F3 standings.

Renger: "I am extremely surprised – and very pleased. My GP2 test went reasonably well, but I could have driven much faster. Consequently I had not expected to be offered a new opportunity so soon. This is the best opportunity of my life, and I’m going to seize it with both hands. I want to prove that I’m one of today’s fastest Dutch drivers. Last year the team finished in the top 3 of the GP2 Asia Series, so I know what I need to do. I’m ready to go!"
