Cupfighter Renger fights his way towards the front again
After a disappointment in qualifying, Renger van der Zande demonstrated once again his excellent racing instinct at Brands Hatch. Starting from tenth position on the grid, the Mercedes protégé managed to finish in sixth place, which earned him valuable points and third position on the starting grid for Sunday’s race.

“In England, they call somebody who races with the knife between his teeth and just goes for it a swashbuckler”, Renger said. “And that is exactly what I did. It is almost impossible to overtake here and I, therefore, had to have a really good start and a little bit of luck. Once again, I had an excellent start and a couple of drivers in front of me had to drop out, which helped. Tomorrow, I will be starting from third position on the grid and I want to win the race, just as I did last month in Zandvoort. I’m really looking forward to it!”More news
