Super final for Renger in Macau
In his final Formula 3 race, Renger van der Zande posted a fantastic time by fighting his way impressively to the front of the field. Starting in the 25th position, Renger stayed out of trouble and demonstrated his speed with excellent lap times and tight passing manoeuvres. The Mercedes junior ultimately finished a very respectable fifth place.
Renger enjoys strong season finale in Macau
Dutchman Renger van der Zande showed a stunning performance through the streets of Macau. The Mercedes Junior driver had to start the race from P25 as he was eliminated from the race in Saturday's opening laps by country fellow Carlo van Dam. Van der Zande worked his way up the field in an incredible race to finish fifth.
Renger takes the seventh starting position amid chaos in Macau
In a chaotic qualifying session in Macau, Renger van der Zande secured for himself the seventh starting position for the race on Saturday. Renger saw several of his attempts at fast laps frustrated by yellow-flag situations, but ended up only a half-second short of pole position, which was claimed by his fellow countryman Carlo van Dam.
