Renger storms through the field at Oschersleben

Renger’s pledge to “have fun racing again” came true on Sunday in Oschersleben in his return to the F3 Euro Series for Motopark Academy.
After a desperate year in GP3 where he only managed one podium, the Dutch driver just wanted to enjoy driving and see a chequered flag.
Sadly that wasn’t to happen in Race 1 where his car broke down but it did mean he was pretty fired up for a back of grid sprint dash in Race 2.
After a storming start and keeping out of trouble, Renger moved up from 14th and last, to 8th.
By lap 6 his place was also 6th after continuing to cut his way through the field like a knife through butter! But with 12 seconds to the Belgian Vanthoor in 5th it was going to be an impossible task to catch him up. But with Alex Sims dropping back on the final laps it meant that Renger made up a place and finally finished 5th.
The chequered flag came down on the race and the best news was that Renger was still there to see it and was the highest placed Motopark Academy car!
